About the role

Help shape the future of robotic-assisted interventions by bringing clinical insights, physician perspectives, and scientific evidence together to accelerate breakthrough innovations that improve patient outcomes. You will be part of a Breakthrough Innovation Team (BRITE) in the Innovation & Design Department reporting to Director, Clinical Innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key clinical expert within Philips' Breakthrough Innovation Team (BRITE), partnering with physicians, engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate emerging clinical needs into innovative robotic solutions.
  • Lead and support clinical collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders, research institutions, and healthcare partners, helping to design and execute studies, including usability, phantom, animal, clinical and other evidence-generation activities.
  • Contribute to clinical research programs, scientific publications, and technology assessments while serving as the bridge between clinicians and technical teams.
  • Support internal clinical education, physician engagement (including coordination & execution of physician visits), and conference demonstrations, while working onsite with a multidisciplinary innovation team in Cambridge, MA.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including R&D, Product Management, Systems Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Usability to ensure clinical workflow requirements, procedural considerations, and physician feedback are incorporated into product design and validation activities.
  • Continuously monitor developments in clinical practice, emerging technologies, and scientific literature to ensure that product development activities remain aligned with evolving clinical needs and future market opportunities.

Requirements

You're The Right Fit If You've acquired 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 5+ years with a Master's degree) in Clinical Research, Clinical Science, Medical Affairs, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Device Development, or a related healthcare field. Experience within neurovascular, image-guided therapy, interventional, or robotic medical technologies is strongly preferred. Cath lab experience is a plus.

  • Your skills include clinical research, evidence generation, physician engagement, scientific communication, clinical workflow analysis, and the ability to translate clinical insights from clinicians and complex clinical workflows into product development activities.
  • Experience supporting clinical studies, pre-clinical studies, or innovation programs within regulated healthcare environments is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Your skills include clinical research, evidence generation, physician engagement, scientific communication, clinical workflow analysis, and the ability to translate clinical insights from clinicians and complex clinical workflows into product development activities. Experience supporting clinical studies, pre-clinical studies, or innovation programs within regulated healthcare environments is highly desirable.

Pay

The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is 149,000 to $237,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Schedule

This is an office role. Employees are required to work in-person at least 3 days per week.
