The Senior Clinical Science Specialist is an advanced team member who demonstrates strong clinical expertise, commercial acumen, and account leadership. This role manages complex accounts, engages diverse stakeholders, and leverages data to drive strategic decisions and outcomes in Rhode Island and nearly all of Connecticut.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed objectives associated with assigned brands, including sales, share, and other quantitative and qualitative KPIs.
  • Navigate complex multi-stakeholder organizations, such as integrated networks, hospitals, and healthcare communities.
  • Manage the assigned geography and customer accounts efficiently, prioritizing key physicians/accounts and utilizing resources effectively.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, guided by patient interests and Ipsen policies.
  • Engage in in-depth, label-consistent conversations with physicians and healthcare professionals using approved resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve customer needs with urgency.
  • Review and analyze market and customer data to support strategic planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Eight years of life-sciences experience, including at least five years in rare or specialty areas and three years in specialty biopharma sales.
  • Experience in GI and/or Hepatology is ideal.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets.
  • Understanding of the payer and clinical landscape, particularly in specialty and rare diseases.
  • Demonstrated patient centricity, empathy, and commitment to supporting patients.
  • Superior presentation, organization, administration, and written communication skills.
  • Market, disease, and product knowledge.
  • BA/BS required; advanced degrees (MBA, MSc, Nursing, etc.) are a plus.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $195,000. Individual compensation depends on factors such as prior education, experience, and demonstrated skills. This role is eligible for incentive compensation and long-term incentives.
