Senior Clinical Data Scientist

About the role

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the EHR data extraction specifications for the AXIS registry
• Serve as the primary interface with site informatics teams to implement data queries
• Design and validate data extraction pipelines from multiple health systems
• Conduct data quality assessments to resolve integrity issues
• Collaborate with biostatistics for clean dataset delivery and variable derivation
• Support site onboarding for data integration and governance agreements
• Maintain documentation for data models and ensure audit-readiness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with advanced degrees preferred
• 5-7 years of experience in clinical data extraction and analysis, especially with EHR systems
• Hands-on expertise with Epic Clarity or similar systems, including writing SQL queries
• Proficiency in data manipulation languages like Python or R
• Familiarity with real-world data standards such as OMOP CDM and HL7 FHIR
• Experience supporting biostatistics teams with data preparation for analysis
• Strong communication skills to effectively translate technical requirements

Pay

$133,824 – $200,736 annually
