Senior Climate Resilience Engineer / Planner

About the Role
This role supports a wide variety of meaningful projects related to climate vulnerability assessment, adaptation planning, watershed resilience, stormwater management, ecological restoration, and sustainable community development.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support climate adaptation and resilience planning efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and adaptation planning
- Collaborate with stormwater, restoration, sustainable development, and geospatial teams
- Support proposals, project scoping, and business development efforts
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, agency partners, and collaborators
- Grow companywide climate-related work and support strategic initiatives
- Manage projects, budgets, and schedules
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications including education, experience, and licenses/certifications
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the role
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering, planning, environmental science or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with public sector clients, Tribes, utilities, or community-based organizations (preferred)
- Familiarity with Pacific Northwest watersheds, regulatory requirements, and climate resilience challenges (preferred)
- Experience with grant writing, funding strategy, or implementation planning (preferred)
- Professional licensure or certifications relevant to the role (e.g., PE, CFM, PMP) (preferred)
- Proficiency in ArcGIS and hydraulic modeling software (preferred)

- This position is salaried and exempt from overtime; the annual salary ranges by level are:
- Engineer IV: $118,500 - $159,700
- Engineer V: $139,100 - $180,300
- Planner IV: $103,000 - $144,200
- Planner V: $133,900 - $175,100
