About the role

The Senior Client Onboarding Manager will lead internal and external stakeholders throughout Progyny’s benefit implementation process, driving smooth client implementations that exceed expectations. This role is a natural leadership opportunity for someone smart, innovative, and detail-oriented, guiding new clients through onboarding to ensure successful integration of Progyny’s products and services. The ideal candidate has experience navigating complex benefits programs and managing client relationships for large and strategic accounts. (This is not a software implementations role.)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects from initiation through completion, ensuring seamless coordination across the onboarding team and cross-functional partners
  • Manage both on-cycle and off-cycle implementations, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and client expectations are consistently met
  • Drive client implementations that exceed expectations with minimal guidance and oversight from a direct manager
  • Identify gaps and optimize work processes to support client implementations in accordance with business, partnership, and client requirements
  • Communicate organizational processes both internally and externally (within the team, across departments, and with external parties)
  • Manage integrations with client-specific partners (carriers and vendors) to support a collaborative partnership and positive client and member experience during implementation and post go-live, including successful claims processing integration
  • Maintain accurate, real-time reporting on all current implementation activities, including communicating risks and challenges to a direct manager
  • Partner with a team of Associate Onboarding Managers and/or Onboarding Managers within the department
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members on the implementation process and best practice adoption
  • Organize team effort, identify and communicate team priorities, and motivate team members to achieve team goals

Requirements

  • Minimum six years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success
  • Experience working in a healthcare/benefit environment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master’s degree, PMP Certification, or similar certifications is a plus
  • Experience supporting Taft-Hartley Fund and/or public sector clients is a plus
  • Demonstrated implementation management skills including leadership, communication, customer management, and project management

Pay

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the salary range for NYC-based applicants is $90,000 - $110,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
