Role Responsibilities

  • Reducing defectivity
  • Reducing cycle time
  • Improving tool utilization and availability
  • Identification and reduction of recurrent machine faults
  • Reducing cost
  • Scrap reduction and yield improvement
  • Supporting development activities
  • Developing and writing specifications
  • Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods
  • Capacity planning and modeling
  • Participating in and/or leading cross-functional and lean activity teams
  • Training others

Key challenges

  • Ability to work in a high volume 24x7 manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work individually, in small work groups or larger teams
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues and sliding priorities
  • Self-motivated; able to take initiative, self-generate projects, and effectively prioritize work
  • Willing to adjust work schedule as needed to support factory priorities
  • Cross-functional aspects

Job Qualifications

  • BS or MS in an engineering or science discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in process engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred
  • Previous experience in Cleans process role preferred
  • Previous experience with the following toolsets is highly desirable:
    • SCP9400
    • WS-820L
    • Akrion GAMA wet benches
    • Semitool SST, SAT, RADR batch solvent cleaning systems
    • Screen 80B/80EX spray tools
    • FSI Mercury/Zeta
  • Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce timely action plans to resolve recurring failures
  • Demonstrated presentation skills, including the ability to train others and present complex datasets, process issues, and solutions to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, capable of applying logic to isolate and resolve problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with manufacturing and equipment engineering to deal with issues and priorities
  • Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self
  • A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment
  • Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing methods is highly desirable
