Senior Claims Examiner - Medical Malpractice Hybrid Schedule from Midtown Manhattan, NYC - 3 days in office per week $140,000 - $160,000 base + 10-15% bonus + benefits A global insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Examiner to join their Healthcare / Medical Malpractice team. This is a technical role handling mid to complex medical malpractice claims across a diverse portfolio. You will manage claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities Handle Medical Malpractice claims across a wide range of medical/healthcare professional groupsHandle coverage matters including writing own coverage letters and coverage decisions Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolutionEvaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claimsMaintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholdersQualifications4+ years of Medical Malpractice / Healthcare E&O claims experience - gained at a leading insurance organization or law firm Experience within other areas of professional liability claims - beneficial but not essential Strong exposure to coverage investigation and litigated files. Must have experience writing coverage letters.
