Senior Claims Examiner - General Liability

We are seeking a motivated Senior Claims Examiner to join our organization and deliver results under strict timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert claim handling in coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex third‑party bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Follow best practices by timely investigating and evaluating liability and damages.
• Analyze policies and review relevant contracts to explore risk‑transfer strategies and priority of coverage.
• Draft appropriate coverage position letters.
• Set timely indemnity reserves after thorough investigation and evaluation of liability and damages.
• Take a proactive approach to negotiating claims toward resolution.
• Manage expense reserves and employ resolution strategies to achieve cost‑effective results.
• Provide excellent customer service to insureds and brokers and promptly advise underwriting of various losses.
• Perform other tasks and duties within the claims department as dictated by business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience handling general liability, property damage, and/or bodily injury claims.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, including time‑management and prioritization.
• Five to seven years of claims handling experience, primarily with general liability claims (preferred).
• Willingness to obtain an adjuster’s license in all states requiring licensure.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Pay

Salary range: $90,000 – $140,000, plus a discretionary incentive bonus. Compensation is based on individual education, experience, and qualifications.
