Senior Claims Adjuster I | California

About the role

Join EMPLOYERS as a Senior Claims Adjuster I and manage complex California workers' compensation claims while making a meaningful impact for injured workers and policyholders. This is a 100% remote, work-from-home position.

Responsibilities

• Manage moderate to high-exposure California workers' compensation claims from investigation through resolution
• Determine compensability, establish reserves, and administer medical and indemnity benefits
• Handle litigation, coordinate with defense counsel, and develop settlement strategies
• Proactively manage claim costs, medical treatment, and claim outcomes
• Deliver exceptional service to policyholders, injured workers, and business partners
• Mentor team members and serve as a claims resource when needed

Requirements

• 7+ years of workers' compensation claims experience, including complex claims
• Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations
• California Workers' Compensation claims adjusting experience
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
• Dedicated home office workspace
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Qualifications

• Preferred: WCCP, AIC, ARM, CPCU, or similar designation
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience

Pay

Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000
