Senior Civil Engineer - Washington Township

About the role

Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Macomb County office, located in Washington Township. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on various engineering projects for our municipal clients while assisting architects, developers, property owners, real estate professionals and the residents of the communities we serve. You will work in a team environment led by a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager on a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Site plan layout
• Geometrics
• Grading
• Pavement design
• Soil erosion and sediment control
• Utility (storm, sanitary and water) design
• Stormwater management and green infrastructure design
• Traffic plans
• Details
• Record drawings and specifications
• Prepare permit applications and cost estimates
• Attend meetings
• Conduct field visits
• Perform construction administration tasks

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: You have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent amount of applicable experience.
• At least 5 years of Civil Engineering experience
• Must have experience in AutoCAD software
• Preferred Qualifications: PE licensure in Michigan (or seeking to obtain)
• Experience in Civil3D
• Experience with green infrastructure design and stormwater modeling in SWMM
