About the role
DEPCOM Power, a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm in the renewable energy industry, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Develop civil engineering and site preparation designs for large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Support construction activities by reviewing field conditions, responding to contractor questions, evaluating design adjustments, and helping resolve site challenges.
- Apply engineering judgment to develop practical, economical, and constructible solutions while meeting project requirements.
- Collaborate with project, structural, electrical, environmental, and construction teams.
- Prepare and review grading plans, drainage studies, erosion and sediment control plans, SWPPP documentation, specifications, and related civil deliverables.
- Perform site visits to evaluate terrain, drainage patterns, soil conditions, constructability considerations, and overall site development strategy.
- Lead discussions with project stakeholders and help drive alignment on technical solutions.
- Address challenges related to grading, drainage, erosion control, soil stabilization, and site constructability.
- Identify opportunities to improve project cost, quality, schedule, and execution.
Requirements
- Demonstrated capability and legal eligibility to act as the sealing Engineer of Record for civil engineering plans, calculations, specifications, and related design deliverables.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: site development, land development, transportation engineering, industrial facilities, utility infrastructure, water resources, or renewable energy projects.
- Genuine interest in renewable energy civil design and a desire to apply civil engineering judgment to large-scale site development, construction, drainage, earthwork, and constructability challenges.
- Experience developing civil engineering designs and supporting construction activities.
- Understanding of grading, drainage, earthwork, stormwater management, and site development fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for site visits and project support.
Qualifications
- Utility-scale solar or battery energy storage projects.
- Large-scale grading and earthwork design.
- Hydrology and hydraulic analysis.
- Stormwater permitting and regulatory coordination.
- Erosion and sediment control design.
- Geotechnical engineering and soil stabilization.
- Construction support, field engineering, or owner’s engineering experience.
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record.
Pay
$130,000 - 165,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
