Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering projects, mentor engineering staff, and contribute to the continued growth of a multidisciplinary engineering firm. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from concept through construction, oversee technical quality, build strong client relationships, and provide leadership on a variety of public and private sector projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from planning and design through permitting and construction support.
• Manage civil site development and infrastructure projects for public and private clients.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, technical reports, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and permitting requirements.
• Provide technical oversight, quality control, and engineering guidance throughout project execution.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Support business development efforts and foster long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Several years of experience in civil site development and/or infrastructure design.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design standards, permitting processes, and project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to mentor junior staff and work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.

• Expertise in civil site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with public agencies and private development clients.
