About the role
This position is subject to a governmental background check. Due to client contract requirements, US naturalized citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Site civil design projects for a variety of markets including Federal, Water/Wastewater, Municipal and Industrial
- Coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration
- Develop construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations
- Review shop drawings during construction
- Lead a team of engineers and CAD professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 years design experience managing various civil/site design projects
- Project Engineering and Project Management experience
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and possesses strong leadership skills
- Experience with Microsoft suite applications, MicroStation, InRoads and other civil engineering software as appropriate
- Experience with Maryland, Virginia and DC stormwater permitting
- Experience in site development and the design of building related site civil (grading, utilities, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control)
- Preference given to candidates currently residing in the Mid-Atlantic (VA/MD/DC) Area
