Senior Civil Drainage Engineer

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Civil Drainage Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will focus on the design and delivery of roadway drainage solutions that support complex infrastructure projects in a manufacturing and automotive-related environment. The position will develop technical calculations, drawings, and reports while serving as a lead engineering resource on small to intermediate projects. You will collaborate with CAD Designers and other engineers to provide guidance, maintain quality standards, and help ensure successful project execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise engineering deliverables that meet quality requirements
• Create detailed calculations, drawings, and technical reports
• Support other engineering activities and supervise subordinates as needed
• Serve as lead engineer for the discipline on small to intermediate projects
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers and lower-level engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required
• 8+ years of experience in road and highway drainage design, preferably with state DOT projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Proficiency in CAD and typical engineering software required
• Experience with hydraulic modeling programs including HEC-RAS and AutoCAD Civil 3D required
• Experience with California transportation projects and stormwater permit acquisition preferred

Pay

$103,500 – $181,100 annually
