Senior Civil Construction Inspector-Rail

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Construction Inspector to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelines
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed
• Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Rail construction experience strongly preferred
• Technical school or Associate degree
• OSHA 30
• CPR Certified
• Relevant Industry Certifications

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)

Schedule

This position will be located on site at our project located in Rhinecliff, NY and is expected to be Full-time.

Business Class

This position falls under Field Services - Non-FAR / Negotiated.
