Senior Cisco Network Engineer FTE

Location: Des Moines, Iowa – onsite 5 days per week with flexibility. Relocation assistance provided.

About the Role

Senior Network Engineer position within a large-scale, highly available, cloud-based network to join a high-performing IT Engineering team. This role leads the design and enhancement of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, data center, and cloud environments, with a focus on complex data center architecture, BGP routing, and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise network architecture in campus, data center, and cloud environments.
• Design, build, and support enterprise-level Cisco Nexus data center architecture for high-availability, mission-critical environments at scale.
• Support and improve network fabric operations using NDFC (Network Data Fabric Controller).
• Architect and optimize BGP routing to ensure resilient, scalable connectivity across multiple sites and hybrid cloud networks in complex enterprise environments.
• Design and implement secure cloud networking solutions in Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• Engineer and optimize hybrid connectivity solutions such as ExpressRoute and site-to-site VPNs.
• Utilize SD-WAN, Terraform, Python, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation tools.

Requirements

• Enterprise-level Cisco Nexus data center architecture design and support experience.
• Proficiency with NDFC (Network Data Fabric Controller).
• Expertise in BGP routing.
• Cloud networking experience in Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or AZ-700.
• Experience with SD-WAN, Terraform, Python, or IaC/automation tools.

Pay

Base salary: $155,000–$160,000. Annual bonus up to 20% (total compensation up to $190,000).
