Responsibilities

• Co-teach with other educators in the center
• Organize and plan a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on center's philosophy and NAEYC accreditation guidelines

Requirements

• Coursework/Training and 24 Semester units of Early Childhood Education including all CORE classes plus Infant and Toddler Development and Program
• Child Development Principles and Practices in Early Childhood Education
• Introduction to Curriculum
• The Child, Family and Community
• 3 units of Infant/Toddler Development
• Career: Early Childhood Education or related field
• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of college level training
• Master's Degree
• Background Check Clearance by the CA Department of Social Services (CPMB) Care Provider Management Bureau (DOJ) Department of Justice and Child Abuse Central Index
• 2 years of working with preschool aged children
• 6 months of supervised field experience in Early Childhood Setting

Qualifications

• 6 months of working with infants and toddlers (preferred)
