Senior Chemical Process Engineer

About the role

The Senior Chemical Process Engineer will play a central role in designing, constructing, and commissioning the company's pilot unit and will lead the design of their first commercial unit. They will also collaborate with engineering contractors to oversee the design of future commercial units.

Responsibilities

• Procuring, integrating, operating, and fixing pilot-scale equipment
• Pilot chemical plant commissioning and operation
• Designing and operating recycling loops
• Experience with gas-to-liquids processes, particularly syngas-to-methanol
• Collaborating with EPCs to oversee the design of future commercial units
• Using Aspen or other process simulation software

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in scaling catalytic technologies to pilot and beyond
• Experience with recycling loops
• Experience with gas-to-liquids processes (syngas-to-methanol preferred)
• Collaboration with EPCs in overseeing FOAK commercial unit design
• Experience with PLC/SCADA design and integration
• Experience working with modular systems
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include PLC/SCADA design and integration, experience working with modular systems, and experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Skills

• Experience with process simulation software
