We are seeking a Senior CEI Inspector to join our team in Raleigh/Durham, NC.
Responsibilities
- Reads contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, and regulatory agency manuals.
- Observes construction work such as trench excavation, pipe placement, backfill operations, pile driving, structure placement, steel reinforcement, concrete pouring, signalization, and lighting.
- Performs density and asphalt tests; samples and verifies certification of materials.
- Reviews shop drawings within limited area of expertise; logs and reports materials and work.
- Assists in directing the daily activities of less experienced staff.
- Performs other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus twelve years related experience OR an Associate Degree in a related technical field plus ten years related experience.
- Good oral communication skills and ability to organize information.
- Math computation skills and understanding of contract plans and specifications.
- Must be physically fit to do manual labor and carry up to 60 lbs.
- NCDOT experience required.

Pay
Expected compensation range is between $33.00 to $43.00 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
