Senior CADD Designer - Waterway Structures

Responsibilities

  • Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
  • Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
  • Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
  • Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
  • Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
  • Prepare concept layout plans.
  • Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
  • Conform to the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
  • Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
  • Cover details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
  • Prepare project exhibits.
  • Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of Associates degree is required.
    • 7+ years of CADD infrastructure experience is required.
    • Interest in waterway structures is required.
    • Proficiency with in AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTurn and other related software is preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

    Pay

    $36.30 to $49.28 per hour (depending on qualifications)
