Senior CAD Engineer

About the role

Magna Steyr is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Engineer in complete vehicle development, specializing in exterior systems. The ideal candidate will lead CAD and engineering activities, participate in benchmarking studies, and provide design direction to the CAE department.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the GTA strategy and grow the engineering team
• Lead the complete development and release of CATIA V6/SDX data and part designs
• Develop CAD technical solutions for product and decision-making
• Interface with OEMs, Magna divisions, global module groups, and Tier 2 suppliers
• Support launch activities at customer assembly plants and supplier facilities

Qualifications

• BSME degree
• 10+ years CAD engineering experience
• Experience in plastic injection molding design and development
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with global teams
• Experience in launching a complete vehicle
• Experience in design release and testing of components and assemblies
• Experience in castings, ferrous, and non-ferrous materials
• Proficient in computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD/CAE simulation
