Senior CAD Designer, Water
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Revit Designer/Modeler to join the Water Business Line team. This role involves assisting project teams across North America on a wide array of municipal and industrial water and wastewater clients to meet their regulatory water quality needs, while collaborating with a supportive team.
- Responsible for assigned projects with the ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and prioritize assignments while maintaining quality standards and accuracy.
- Collaborate on multi-discipline, multi-company projects.
- Prepare three-dimensional models and renderings using Revit.
- Prepare and assemble design documents.
- Aid project managers with model presentations for project teams and client meetings.
- Complete Revit Project Setup.
- Download, review, and understand design drawings and models to accurately present and coordinate designs.
- Communicate design changes and issues with the Project Manager and the Design Team.
- Provide layouts for project structures including Treatment Plants, lift stations, and pump stations from information provided by senior designers and Project Engineers.
- Ability to take direction and participate in quality reviews of work products.
- Generate Revit content to add to our growing library of Revit families.

Education | Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience with an emphasis in design and development of geotechnical deliverables including investigations, reports, drawings and specifications.
What We Prefer You Bring
- Master’s Degree with a Geotechnical focus is strongly preferred.
- Field experience with construction observation for bridge projects, highway projects, deep foundations, and sinkhole and landslide remediation projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $XXX,000 - $XXX,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.

Core Business Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
