About the Role

Team members in the development team are responsible for preparing detailed construction plan documents for both residential and commercial projects. This includes designing plans for streets, sanitary systems, stormwater management, erosion control, utilities, and grading. The role ensures all aspects of the construction process are thoroughly documented, enabling smooth project execution while meeting regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Generate grading design in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Analyze markups, notes, and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision.
• Execute project drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D to produce legible and technically correct drawings in a cost-efficient manner.
• Make revisions to existing drawings from verbal explanations and revise complex drawings from markups.
• Assist Engineers in producing design and construction documents.
• Consistently implement Stoeppelwerth & Associates design/drawing standards and processes, including sheet setups, layers, linetypes, and file systems.
• Maintain an outgoing and positive attitude, dependability, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Technical Drawing, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Civil 3D is essential.
• Experience in creating and interpreting construction drawings and design engineering plans.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate technical documentation.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years of professional experience in CAD design, preferably in land development or construction.

Qualifications

An associate degree in CAD drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
