Senior Buyer - Culinary

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the procurement for our culinary department including large industrial appliances and merchandising equipment, to small wares like spatulas, whisks, and plates.
• Collaborate with our chefs and other stakeholders (including the catering, events, facilities, and accounting teams).
• Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors.

Requirements

• Experience with Excel and Access is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to relocate to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience with Epic culinary department procurement is preferred.
• Knowledge of local and national suppliers is beneficial.
• Ability to source locally and balance quality, sustainability, and cost.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of sustainable sourcing practices.
