Senior Buyer - Culinary

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the procurement for our culinary department including large industrial appliances and merchandising equipment, to small wares like spatulas, whisks, and plates.
  • Collaborate with chefs and other stakeholders (including the catering, events, facilities, and accounting teams).
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors.
  • Source locally whenever possible and work with a variety of purveyors, from local farmers to national wholesalers.

Requirements

  • Experience with Excel and Access.
  • Willingness to relocate to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Equipment procurement experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

About the Role

We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance. We serve around 12,000 meals per day to our customers, staff, and visitors. We prioritize sourcing locally whenever possible and work with a variety of purveyors, from local farmers to national wholesalers, to strike the right balance between quality, sustainability, and cost.
