Senior Buyer - Culinary
About the role
Play a key role in the procurement for our culinary department including large industrial appliances and merchandising equipment, to small wares like spatulas, whisks, and plates, as well as large quantities of food and consumables.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with chefs and other stakeholders (including the catering, events, facilities, and accounting teams)
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors
- Source locally whenever possible and work with a variety of purveyors, from local farmers to national wholesalers
- Update and expand culinary facilities to support daily menus featuring a variety of regional, international, and seasonal offerings
Requirements
- Experience with Excel and Access
- Willingness to relocate to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Skills
- Equipment procurement experience preferred
