Senior Buyer - Culinary
Responsibilities
Play a key role in the procurement for our culinary department including large industrial appliances and merchandising equipment, to small wares like spatulas, whisks, and plates… as well as large quantities of food and consumables.
Collaborate with our chefs and other stakeholders (including the catering, events, facilities, and accounting teams) to establish, develop, and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors.
Establish and maintain relationships with local and national purveyors to source products that meet quality, sustainability, and cost requirements.
Support the Epic culinary department in serving around 12,000 meals per day to our customers, staff, and visitors.
Contribute to the ongoing expansion and updating of culinary facilities to support daily menus featuring a variety of regional, international, and seasonal offerings.
Requirements
- Equipment procurement experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with Excel and Access
- Willingness to relocate to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
