Key Responsibilities
- Purchase and research products and services according to jobs
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels
- Cook with the Accounting and Operations team to forecast demand, ensure accurate counts of inventory and manage supply chain logistics
- Reconcile and update systems for inventory and credit cards
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers that are mutually beneficial for both parties
- Negotiate terms to secure the best possible deals
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Follow measures to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management
- Drive process improvements and contribute to purchasing and supply chain initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship expertise
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced experience with ERP or MRP systems (e.g. Microsoft Business Central)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of market research and data analysis
- Acts as a Servant leader
- Highly organized and delivers with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail
