About the Role

QinetiQ US is seeking a Sr Buyer for our Lorton, VA location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals.
• Negotiate and execute purchase orders and Long-Term Agreement contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Perform price/cost analysis.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience, with 7+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, including at least 3+ years in a senior position handling complex procurement tasks.
• Understanding of Contractors Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) requirements.
• Experience with Costpoint ERP system.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $100,000–$125,000 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including the role, function, responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
