About the Role
QinetiQ US is seeking a Sr Buyer for our Lorton, VA location.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Negotiate and execute purchase orders and Long-Term Agreement contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Perform price/cost analysis.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience, with 7+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, including at least 3+ years in a senior position handling complex procurement tasks.
- Understanding of Contractors Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) requirements.
- Experience with Costpoint ERP system.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $100,000–$125,000 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including the role, function, responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
