About the role
FabFitFun is seeking a Senior Buyer, Home to join our Merchandising team as we expand our Home Merchandising vertical. This role will be at the cutting edge of the latest home and lifestyle trends, products, and brands, with a focus on building out the home category for our seasonal subscription box and corresponding e-Commerce flash sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage new and existing top-tier partnerships in the home category.
- Source and buy items according to plan for our seasonal subscription box and e-Commerce flash sales while maintaining a well-balanced assortment.
- Structure deals and lead negotiations with brand partners to meet cost targets and maintain gross margin profitability.
- Partner with the category Director and Brand Partnerships to develop annual and seasonal strategies for the box and e-commerce sales.
- Work closely with Merchandising Planning partners to forecast sales, markdowns, margins, and inventory.
- Collaborate with Consumer Insights and Merchandising Strategy teams to leverage trends and data for strategic brand and product assortments.
- Conduct competitive marketplace analysis to assess and create business opportunities.
- Work with Designers and Production to manage product development timelines.
- Mentor junior/associate-level buyers and ensure team development and goal achievement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 7+ years of buying/merchandising experience in an omnichannel retail environment (subscription or off-price model preferred).
- Strong rolodex with existing contacts and relationships in the home & lifestyle category.
- Experience managing 50+ active brand conversations simultaneously.
- Confident negotiating costs and managing orders from PO placement through transportation and on-time delivery.
- Ability to manage open-to-buy (OTB) and meet company financial goals.
- Adaptable to change and receptive to feedback.
- Exposure to overseeing and mentoring junior team members.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel knowledge and retail math skills.
Skills
- Demonstrated familiarity and working fluency with modern AI tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and similar platforms.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate market research, assortment analysis, vendor communication drafting, and business insights.
- Experience using AI to synthesize data, generate summaries, and streamline workflow execution.

Pay
Full-time position with an expected base salary range of $110K - $125K plus annual bonus eligibility. The compensation package includes an initial equity grant and a range of medical, dental, vision, and other perks.
Schedule
This role is based in Beverly Hills, CA (HQ) and follows a hybrid schedule of 4 days a week in-office (Monday-Thursday). Remote work is not eligible.
