About the role
The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing the Kanban ordering process and plays a broad-based role incorporating supplier communications, negotiation, document preparation, records management, financial administration, inventory management, new product introduction, and general problem-solving. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Manufacturing team located in San Jose, operating on-site.
Responsibilities
- Support a complex Electro/Mechanical supply chain and inventory management system.
- Plan inventory levels, locations, and execute all forecasting and planning programs.
- Identify and execute inventory reduction and cost reduction projects.
- Champion material processes, promote problem-solving around On-Time Delivery misses, implement effective countermeasures, negotiate with suppliers, and provide feedback to affected parties on delivery challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in purchasing and working with supply chain and inventory management systems (e.g., KANBAN, MRP, Oracle or similar).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Products.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong communication across teams and upwards through the organization.
- Proven track record in prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments.

Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
