Senior Business Systems Engineer - Product & Engineering Platforms

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer - Product & Engineering Platforms to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will own the business systems and operational tooling that support product and engineering teams across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems thinking, hands-on platform administration, and a collaborative approach to improving planning, reporting, and workflow efficiency. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable solutions, strengthen governance, and increase visibility across core operational processes. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually Responsibilities Own business systems and operational platforms used by product and engineering teams Manage platform configurations, including security and data quality Design scalable workflows and reporting structures Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on planning processes Lead implementations and integrations of enterprise applications Establish governance standards and improve data quality Support reporting to provide operational visibility Qualifications 7+ years of experience in business systems engineering or IT applications Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Atlassian products Experience with enterprise work-management platforms Ability to translate complex business processes into technical solutions Strong project management skills with stakeholder coordination capability Proficiency in APIs, integrations, and enterprise application architecture Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Benefits Opportunity for hands-on engineering and systems ownership Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment Access to advanced training materials and support resources Involvement in evaluating and improving platform tools Flexible work arrangements to accommodate team needs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
