Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, NACP Analytics

About the role

NACP - Analytics & Science is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to lead business analytics, science, and automation in partnership with Data Scientists, Supply Chain leaders, and Engineers. The mission is to simplify analytics with innovative Data/Science products.

Responsibilities

• Partner extensively with Capacity Planning leaders and Supply Chain Planners to identify analytical needs and translate them into BIE/Science solution designs.
• Design, develop, and test solutions to ensure accurate data management processes and visualization outputs that represent business insights.
• Develop best practices to reduce coding effort by reusing where applicable and replacing complex data handling steps with innovative design and simpler tools/utilities.
• Work backwards from business KPIs to design predictive science-based automation solutions.
• Enable seamless integration between BIE solutions and Strategic Planning, Excel models.
• Mentor BIEs on the team and partner with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to identify innovation opportunities and scale solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional or military experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.
• Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.
