Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst

About the role

The Service Fund team at Humana is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst to support the expansion of value-based programs. This role involves working closely with providers and internal Humana teams to manage and improve value-based relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate new value-based programs
• Manage and maintain existing value-based programs
• Utilize complex SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps to drive process improvement
• Conduct research and produce monthly activity reporting
• Support payments to value-based specialists
• Aid in the evaluation and expansion of value-based programs into new markets and business areas

Requirements

• 2+ years' advanced experience developing complex SQL queries
• 1+ years' experience in Healthcare-related data (Provider, Insurance, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, formatting)
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks/Unified Data Platform

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Experience in Health Insurance related data (Medicare, Medicaid, Claims, Premium Data, etc.)
• Experience with Pyspark and/or Python
• Experience with tools such as Power Automate, or Power Apps to assist in process automation

Additional Information

You must be authorized to work in the US without Humana sponsorship. Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. The compensation range for this role is $89,000 - $121,400 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
