Senior Business Controller

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Senior Business Controller to support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. This role partners with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation, offering the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead prioritization meetings with business partners to assess product launch pipelines
• Oversee the product launch review process, ensuring compliance and documentation adherence
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to evaluate product strategies and finance requirements
• Advise business partners in navigating the Finance organization
• Work with engineering to enhance reporting capabilities and automate processes
• Review accounting treatments for new products to ensure compliance with standards
• Design and implement financial controls with process owners
• Produce detailed financial documentation and executive updates

Qualifications

• 5+ years in finance, accounting, or related field with operational experience
• Big 4 public accounting experience with technical accounting expertise
• CPA or equivalent certification
• Deep knowledge of crypto products from experience in a crypto exchange or fintech
• Experience in the fintech industry with understanding of financial regulations
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders effectively
• Strong communication skills with experience in audit-ready documentation
• Familiarity with generative AI for driving business efficiency

Pay

$140,080 – $164,800 annually
