About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Banking Relationship Manager (LO) to join their Small & Business Banking Team. This role involves supporting customers in an assigned local market by deepening relationships and engaging in prospecting activities. In this role, you will source and onboard new business clients through strategic prospecting, community outreach, and internal referrals. You will build visibility and develop strong Centers of Influence (COIs) to support long-term relationship development, deepen existing relationships by understanding client priorities, and proactively identify opportunities for engagement and expansion. You will manage a moderately complex book of business, drive portfolio growth by increasing core deposit balances, and identify deepening opportunities. You will proactively manage risk exposure and ensure alignment with underwriting policies and risk guidelines. You will conduct comprehensive financial and credit assessments, structure and support secured and unsecured credit solutions within delegated authority, and coordinate with credit partners as needed. You will present credit recommendations and financial strategies to clients and internal stakeholders, recommend and deliver a full suite of Wells Fargo business banking products, tailor solutions to client operating cycles, cash flow needs, and strategic goals, collaborate with product teams and internal stakeholders to creatively solve client challenges and streamline processes, engage financial decision-makers with proactive communication and responsive service, and provide actionable feedback to enhance tools and offerings that elevate client experience and operational excellence. You will retain and grow client relationships by advising on financial strategies and managing expectations with transparency and care.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of experience sourcing and/or managing a portfolio of clients with $2mm - 25mm in annual revenue
  • 3+ years of experience in business-to-business sales
  • Demonstrated credit acumen, including the ability to analyze business financial statements, assess cash flow and repayment capacity, understand credit risk, and partner effectively throughout the credit underwriting and approval process
  • Strong knowledge of deposit and cash management products and services
  • Strong relationship-building and excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
  • Able to balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of Wells Fargo
  • Established network in the local market
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Desired Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or higher

Job Expectations

  • Position will be responsible for visiting customers and prospects outside of the branch location within an assigned market/geography.
  • Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies.
