About the role
The Senior Business Analyst, Wealth Technology leads the definition, documentation, and execution of business processes and technology initiatives, primarily focused on Salesforce initiatives for advisor and operations teams. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, technology partners, and end users to translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories, workflows, and solution recommendations. The Senior Business Analyst drives improvements that streamline processes, enhance user experience, increase adoption, and support the ongoing evolution of Salesforce and related wealth technology platforms.
This position is hybrid with 3 days per week onsite in St. Louis.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution design efforts for Salesforce development and enhancement initiatives supporting advisor and operations teams.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, platform engineers, vendors, and end users to understand business needs, identify pain points, and recommend scalable process and technology improvements.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow diagrams, process documentation, and functional specifications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on advisor and operations workflows, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and user experience goals.
- Lead discovery sessions, design discussions, demos, and working sessions with cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate current-state processes and define future-state workflows that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support consistent adoption.
- Support prioritization of enhancements by assessing business value, user impact, dependencies, risks, and implementation complexity.
- Work closely with project teams throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, requirements, design, development support, testing, release readiness, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Own project management responsibilities for select initiatives, including coordinating timelines, tracking milestones, managing dependencies, facilitating status updates, and driving workstreams to completion.
- Lead or support functional testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, and validation of process and user experience improvements.
- Develop and maintain project artifacts, including business requirements, process flows, user stories, decision logs, training materials, release notes, and support documentation.
- Enable decision-making by identifying risks, surfacing issues, documenting trade-offs, and recommending options to remove implementation barriers.
- Provide guidance and support to junior business analysts or project team members, as needed.
- Collaborate with change management, training, and business leadership teams to support user readiness, adoption, and effective communication of new capabilities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, technology delivery, product support, solution design, or CRM enhancement delivery.
- Strong experience supporting Salesforce initiatives, including requirements gathering, user story development, testing, user support, reporting, configuration support, or enhancement delivery.
- Experience working with advisor, operations, financial services, wealth management, client service, or CRM-enabled workflows strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead requirements discussions, facilitate cross-functional working sessions, and translate business needs into actionable technology deliverables.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills.
- Experience supporting technology projects through the full project lifecycle, including discovery, design, development, testing, release readiness, and post-launch support.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including developing and managing project plans, coordinating cross-functional resources, tracking risks and dependencies, and communicating status to stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for business, technical, and leadership audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive progress across multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, vendors, business partners, and technology teams.
- Experience with Workday, Asana, reporting tools, or related wealth technology platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Pay
The annualized base pay range for this role is $110,000–$125,000. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location, and skill set. The base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which may also include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
