Senior Business Analyst Retail Solutions

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst - Retail Solutions plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between HSY's field sales organization, commercial technology, and vendor partners. This position is crucial for translating retail execution priorities into functional requirements, evaluating vendor solutions, and ensuring that new capabilities seamlessly integrate with Salesforce, HSY's core field platform.

Responsibilities

• Define and elicit requirements, analyze new solution architecture, and document requirements that shape field representative execution.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key activities, deliverables, and timelines.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project implementation.
• Design and implement technology solutions addressing business challenges, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, creating and presenting reports to senior management.
• Assist in managing project timelines and resources, guiding priorities and implementation tradeoffs when necessary.
• Participate in sprint reviews, lead integration and user acceptance testing, and ensure delivered capabilities meet field execution requirements.
• Partner with field leadership to support the adoption of new capabilities, including training inputs, feedback collection, and continuous improvement loops.

Qualifications

• Analyze and simplify complex issues, find root causes, and understand the broader implications of changes in interconnected systems.
• Identify root causes of business issues and develop innovative solutions, thinking critically and creatively to overcome challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders, manage external vendor relationships, facilitate collaboration, and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
• Proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies, including data modeling, process mapping, and requirements management.
• Experience with AI tools and creation of agents for more efficient product operations, analyzing data, and providing insights.
• Experience with data integration technologies, processes, and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with systems like Databricks, SAP S4, PowerBI, Salesforce (CG Cloud), or similar is advantageous.
• Experience supporting mobile releases alongside backend releases, understanding regression risk, and coordinating release timings.
• Experience with mobile applications, operating systems, and hardware is a plus.
• Proficiency with AI tools to streamline DevOps and data analysis processes is welcome.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and associated DevOps tools, managing releases, sprints, and projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Experience working with onshore and offshore development teams is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of CPG field sales concepts, including route-to-market models, retail compliance, and in-store execution priorities (merchandising, distribution, display, etc.) is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline such as Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, product ownership, or a related field is preferred.
