Senior Business Analyst – Life & Annuities

Our client, one of the largest Life Insurance organizations in the US, is looking for a Business Analyst to join a high-profile policy administration transformation program. The team is migrating from DXC Vantage to Wealth Management Accelerator (wmA), consolidating multiple legacy Life & Annuity platforms into a modern policy administration environment.

About the role

This is not a traditional requirements-gathering Business Analyst position. They’re looking for someone who understands how Life & Annuity products actually work—someone who can validate policy calculations, interpret expected business outcomes, support policy conversions, and investigate discrepancies throughout the migration process.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between Product, Business, Actuarial, and Technology teams throughout the migration.
  • Analyze Life & Annuity products to define expected policy behavior and business outcomes.
  • Support policy conversions from DXC Vantage into wmA, including source-to-target data mapping.
  • Build and validate Predetermined Results (PDRs), test scenarios, and expected policy calculations.
  • Validate migrated policy values and determine whether values should be converted, recalculated, or reconstructed.
  • Investigate discrepancies between legacy and target platforms, identifying whether issues stem from data, calculations, product rules, or system design.
  • Support UAT, conversion validation, defect analysis, and business readiness activities.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with DXC Vantage, wmA (Wealth Management Accelerator), or comparable Life PAS platforms (ALIP, FAST, OIPA, Ingenium, LifePRO, etc.).
  • Strong experience working within Life Insurance and/or Annuity products.
  • Experience supporting policy administration modernization, conversion, or migration programs.
  • Experience with:
    • Policy conversion and source-to-target data mapping
    • Policy value validation and reconciliation
    • Product rules, premium calculations, and policy behavior
    • Predetermined Results (PDRs), expected outcomes, or policy calculation testing
  • Experience partnering with Product, Business, Actuarial, and Technology teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate complex policy conversion issues and determine root cause.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with DXC Vantage and/or wmA.
  • Experience reconstructing policy values from transaction history.
  • Exposure to actuarial calculations, reserve validation, or policy value reconstruction.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Life Insurance transformation or modernization initiatives.

Why join?

This is a highly visible transformation program where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Life & Annuity products behave correctly after migration. Rather than simply documenting requirements, you’ll work alongside Product, Actuarial, and Technology teams to validate policy calculations, solve complex conversion challenges, and influence outcomes on one of the largest Life Insurance modernization programs in the US.
