About the role

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team. This role works at the center of how the organization captures, stores, governs, and retrieves business-critical content across platforms like ImageRight, FileNet, and DocEx.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business issues and defines requirements to design ECM solutions that align with organizational goals, focusing on content integrity, governance, and compliance.
  • Collaborates with program managers, project managers, and project teams to gather information, model system requirements, and document detailed specifications across content management platforms and their integrations.
  • Led requirements and scope definition for content management initiatives, including platform migrations, upgrades, and the rationalization of large, complex content repositories.
  • Develops and implements automated system protocols that reduce manual processes and increase overall operational efficiency.
  • Develops workflow charts and diagrams to study system capabilities and write detailed specifications.
  • Manages dependencies and coordinates across multiple business and technical groups to ensure content, integrations, and records obligations are addressed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Uses AI-assisted analysis to identify integration and migration risks, surface improvement opportunities, and enhance documentation quality.
  • Makes recommendations for best practices and introduces new techniques and tools to the BA practice.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Generally, a minimum of 6 years of related experience that includes designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and/or maintaining applications, or configuring and using application software in a business setting.
  • Scope of Job: Provides requirements guidance to program managers, project managers, and project teams. Participates in all phases of the requirements lifecycle for small to moderately complex programs and projects, with the ability to take the lead on ambiguous, high-impact content management efforts.
  • Business Knowledge: Exhibits strong business knowledge and the ability to identify and define business needs, including a high level of understanding of the organization's business and technology operations.
  • Skills: Strong requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation skills, with the ability to operate independently on complex problems. Experience using AI-powered tools to improve documentation, analysis, testing, or delivery, with a focus on validating accuracy and appropriate use. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
