Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business/Data Analyst Contractor with SAP and Cloud-Data experience to support the development of new Cloud-Data Lake capabilities in various applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve complex business problems utilizing business process redesign and cloud computing technologies.
  • Assess AS-IS processes and develop new processes and/or business flows to leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities of Software-As-A-Service (SAAS).
  • Consult with the data engineering team and functional unit owners (Finance, Sales, Supply Chain) and document a gap analysis of capabilities, requirements and needs against technology.
  • Deep understanding of the business process in FICO (Finance), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales), and PP (Production Planning).
  • Apply business process re-engineering methodologies for systems modernization.
  • Develop new standard operating procedures documentation and a handbook for Data Lake.
  • Create methodology to measure process performance against established metrics.
  • Responsible for completing assignments with the ability to work on 1–3 projects.
  • Understand the business needs and requests, identify solutions, gather information, and translate business needs into documented artifacts that are understandable to business and IT personnel alike.
  • Work with the business users to analyze processes and system issues and turn them into actionable system changes that benefit the requesting party(s), improve efficiency in operations and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with project teams and business partners during project planning, incremental software delivery reviews, and User Acceptance testing to ensure the software has been implemented based on the specifications.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive hands-on SAP techno-functional experience with a strong understanding of SAP datasets like Sales, Purchasing, Material management, Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Should be able to direct the team to map the SAP datasets in a non-SAP cloud platform (e.g., for Sales Datasets — modeling of Sales Orders with Invoices, shipment, Master data, etc.).
  • Should be responsible for writing the functional specifications of the data sets created.
  • This role is with the Data team; however, this resource should liaison with the SAP ERP team to bridge the functional needs.
  • Deep technical knowledge of SQL and CDS views, including experience in designing, joining, and analyzing complex data structures.
  • Experience in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology, including: eliciting/documenting user stories/acceptance criteria, backlog management, and Sprint reviews.
  • Modeling experience (e.g., process flows, use cases, swim lane diagrams, AS-IS / TO-BE diagrams, mock-ups/wireframes).
  • Experience in data modeling.
  • Experience in process re-engineering.
  • Knowledge of Information Security Awareness.
  • Understanding of web applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Google Cloud technology.
  • Experience in Jira.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related majors.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is a plus.

Required Experience

  • 10 years of IT experience; preferably in enterprise Business-to-Business durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing.
  • 10 years' experience in systems analysis, data analysis and design with proven record of successful large-scale project implementations.
