Senior Business Analyst

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or comparable role
- Demonstrated ability to lead requirements from initial discovery through implementation
- Strong experience in business process evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficiency in documenting requirements using structured methods and standard frameworks
- Skilled in facilitating both virtual and in-person sessions with diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience creating process flows using tools such as Visio, Miro, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences
- Experience working with tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and collaboration platforms like Jira or Confluence
- Able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with multiple concurrent initiatives
About the role
This role is responsible for bridging business objectives with practical solutions by translating needs into well-defined processes, system improvements, and technology outcomes. The position plays a critical part in ensuring that initiatives are clearly understood, properly scoped, and effectively delivered.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and improved operational efficiency
- Lead discovery efforts for initiatives involving system enhancements or workflow changes, ranging in complexity
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working sessions to gather insights and define both current and future state processes
- Drive structured discussions by setting objectives, guiding dialogue, and ensuring outcomes are achieved
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements in formats such as user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
- Translate business needs into clearly articulated functional and non-functional specifications
- Maintain organized, accurate documentation including process maps, procedures, and supporting materials
- Collaborate with delivery and testing teams to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly and implemented effectively
- Absorb and communicate updates and concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences, tailoring messaging as appropriate
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while adapting to shifting timelines and business needs

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
