About the role

The Senior Business Advisory Manager oversees and scales the firm’s business advisory function, combining deep technical expertise with high-level leadership. The role involves developing and managing client relationships, delivering advisory services, executing retention and growth plans, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with clients, focusing on client experience and retention.
  • Provide advisory services to clients related to finances, taxes, and business practices.
  • Develop and execute the retention and growth plans, operations strategies, business development, and help the organization achieve its objectives and goals.
  • Develop, coach, and motivate employees, manage their time, commitments, and goals.
  • Review, analyze, and implement business practices that will improve firm performance.
  • Oversee and provide high-level accounting and business advisory services, including bookkeeping, sales tax, KPI tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Deliver strategic business consulting, including budgeting, cash flow analysis, internal controls, and tax planning.
  • Partner with clients on long-term financial strategies and business growth initiatives.
  • Establish team priorities, manage workload distribution, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees, including performance management and career development planning.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • 5 - 15 years professional public accounting experience, preferably across multiple client and industry types.
  • Superior accuracy and technical expertise, knowledge of client industries.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills.
  • Expert use of accounting software & systems, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive problem solving and project management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
