Senior Bridge Inspector

About the role
- Performs density and asphalt tests; samples and verifies certification of materials.
- Observes construction work such as trench excavation, pipe placement, backfill operations, pile driving, structure placement, steel reinforcement, concrete pouring, signalization, and lighting.
- Responsible for coordinating and managing lower-level inspectors.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus ten years of related experience, or an associate’s degree in a related technical field plus eight years of related experience required.
- Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction.
- Must have experience working on FDOT projects.
- Must have the following FDOT certifications/qualifications or be able to obtain within three months:
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I and Level II
- CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level II
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
- FDOT Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (TTC)
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
- Nuclear Radiation Safety/HAZMAT
- Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors

Pay
Expected compensation range is between $34.00 to $39.00 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
