Senior Bridge Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with our client to hire a Senior Bridge Design Structural Engineer for an immediate opening on their growing team. This role focuses on designing and producing structural plans for bridge and roadway projects, while working closely with internal teams and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce structural plans for bridge and roadway projects
• Work closely with internal teams and public agencies
• Report writing skills
• Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• B.S. Civil Engineering
• Familiar with New York State Department of Transportation specifications/BD Sheets
• Familiar with the LDSA process for working with local municipalities
• Ability to design prestressed concrete or steel girder bridges according to NYS standards and codes
• Ability to connect with and train Junior Bridge Engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years working as a bridge designer
• NYS Professional Engineering License (preferred but not required)
