Senior Branch Leader

About the role
As Senior Market Leader, you will have full accountability for the P&L, growth, retention, talent, safety, and operational excellence of a large, complex RYAN home services market. You will set market strategy, lead through multiple layers of management, and build the leadership bench that fuels RYAN's long-range growth objectives and mission.
Responsibilities
- Own full financial performance of a $10M+ market, including budgeting, forecasting, and in-year management of revenue, margin, and operating expenses.
- Set the strategic roadmap for the market (growth priorities, capital needs, service mix, labor strategy, leadership capacity) aligned with company goals.
- Lead through multiple layers of management (Department Managers, Sr. Department Managers, and other leaders), ensuring capability, clarity, and accountability.
- Build leadership bench strength through development plans, succession planning, and disciplined performance management.
- Deliver regular Ryan Performance Connections and annual performance reviews for all direct reports and ensure completion of compensation processes.
- Oversee customer experience and retention across a complex customer base, maintaining visibility into key accounts and significant service issues.
- Partner with HR on workforce planning, structure, leadership hiring, retention, and change management.
- Partner with commercial and marketing leaders on market positioning, account growth strategies, segment focus, and local expansion.
- Own market-level safety and compliance performance, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute as a senior operator across markets by sharing best practices, mentoring leaders, and influencing broader operational initiatives.
- Maintain an active, visible presence in the field to validate standards, support leaders, and stay connected to execution without acting as a frontline crew member.
Scope of Role
- Leads a market with revenue greater than $10M.
- Oversees 5+ departments through a team of department managers.
- Responsible for 35+ associates across the market.
- Serves 5,000+ customers.
- Operates within RYAN's pricing, brand, and policy framework.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and DOT Certificate.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in multi-department P&L roles, including prior experience as a Market Leader or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree (Business, Management, or a related field preferred), or equivalent industry leadership experience.
Skills
- Proven full P&L ownership at scale, including budgeting, margin and revenue management, and sound investment decisions to drive profitable growth.
- Demonstrated success leading leaders, developing managers, building succession pipelines, and holding teams accountable for results.
- Strong strategic and market acumen; able to read a market, set direction, and translate RYAN's goals into a winning plan.
- Entrepreneurial drive and ownership mindset; proactively identifies and executes growth and improvement opportunities.
- Senior-level communication skills; adept at coaching, giving direct feedback, and representing the market with associates, leaders, customers, and community stakeholders.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills; able to make complex operating decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google platforms and relevant field-based operating systems.
Work Environment
- Primarily an office- and field-leadership role; able to move about market facilities and job sites as needed.
- Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions when visiting sites.
- Travel within the market and to company meetings is required.
