About us

Top accounting firm that services top-performing musicians and professional athletes is seeking a skilled Senior Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This hybrid position offers a laid-back work environment with a strong emphasis on work/life balance, especially during tax season. The firm values candidates with experience working with high-net-worth clients, ideally in the entertainment industry, and proficiency in Agilink or QuickBooks is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
  • Pay debts as they come due, including necessary entries and maintaining files.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closes.
  • Prepare documents for audits.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.
  • Adhere to organizational procedures and policies.
  • Use Agilink software proficiently to streamline accounting tasks.
  • Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers for 10 clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with 5+ years of client bookkeeping at a CPA firm preferred.
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, and Bookkeeping.
  • Experience in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Familiarity with month-end close and budgeting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for the music/entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Agilink or QuickBooks is highly desirable.
