Senior Biostatistician

About the role

The Sr Biostatistician will apply advanced statistical techniques to clinical studies and play a key role in the development and validation of CareDx products in Solid Organ Transplantation. This position provides statistical support to various projects and initiatives, interfacing with Medicare Affairs, Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, and Laboratory Operations. For highly qualified candidates, this position may be offered at the Staff level, based on experience, expertise, and demonstrated impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical expertise for design, analysis, and reporting of clinical studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on study design, protocol development, statistical methodology, and analysis.
• Perform sample size calculations and statistical ad hoc analyses.
• Develop statistical analysis plans and analysis specifications.
• Build analytical pipelines and perform quality control on results.
• Collaborate with data management and clinical operations to ensure robust CRF and database development, as well as quality data collection.
• Contribute to publications, assist in data interpretation, and ensure consistency and accuracy in data presentation.
• Represent biostatistics on study and project teams.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computational methods, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with a PhD or 5 years with a Master’s degree in biotech or a related industry.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
• Proficiency in R; SAS is optional.

Pay

This is the anticipated base salary range for candidates in the specified locations:

• San Francisco Bay Area (Brisbane, California): $124,000—$155,000 USD.
• Remote (U.S. only): $112,000—$140,000 USD.

The final salary offered will depend on factors such as experience, education, and industry tenure. This role may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
