About the role
The Senior Billing Supervisor position at CGS involves coordinating and managing the e-billing and payment cycle workflow, including payment posting, charge corrections, and monthly reconciliation of payments to bank deposits for the Firm's offices. The role also includes preparing billing reports, working with internal and external auditors, and supervising staff.
Responsibilities
- Accurately observe and implement e-billing requirements and processes.
- Create and distribute monthly, semi-monthly, and ad-hoc billing reports to internal and external clients.
- Timely submit invoices to clients according to established timelines.
- Create and distribute ad-hoc operational and billing reports as requested.
- Work with the Controller and Accounting Department to identify, review, and recommend changes to automate or enhance billing processes.
- Support internal and external auditors as needed.
- Supervise e-billing and receivables staff, evaluate their skill levels, and recommend necessary training or changes.
- Provide feedback on staff performance appraisals, develop performance management objectives, drive engagement and retention, and participate in team hiring and separation decisions.
- Delegate assignments and projects to staff as appropriate.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Five years of legal billing/receivables experience and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and billing software.
- Advanced experience in e-billing.
- Two years of supervisory experience in similar roles and ability to assume a leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Applications to include Excel, Outlook, and Access.
