Senior Billing Specialist, Private Pay

What You’ll Do
- Generates and reviews monthly private pay and Medicaid resident billing
- Prepares and submits Medicaid claims
- Maintains and monitors all Medicaid claim processes to ensure A/R balance is zero
- Processes cash receipts and tracks them on individual community cash sheets
- Collaborates with the Community Finance team on daily tasks and month-end close to meet deadlines and customer needs
- Reconciles resident statements, investigates discrepancies, and corrects them
- Balances, reviews, and runs reports as requested
- Provides training and daily support for community staff related to billing processes and procedures
- Leads and mentors other Accounts Payable Specialists
- Assists coworkers with overloads and contributes to team projects as needed
- Completes special projects as requested or assigned
What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma
- 2-4 years of experience
- Familiarity with the senior living industry preferred
- Proficiency in data entry
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to interact with a wide range of people including field personnel and all levels of LCS personnel
- An analytical and problem-solving mindset to address basic accounting issues
- A working knowledge of accounts payable systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.)
- A solid understanding of customer service principles and the ability to apply them
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including proper grammar, content, and format
- The ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize work schedules, and meet deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills, willing to work additional hours as needed to meet organizational deadlines
